About The Foundation
We are an organization committed to supporting vision needs in the High Desert. We screen needy members of the community for vision issues and assist them in obtaining eyeglasses and treatment for eye abnormalities.
Recently we have conducted vision screenings in Apple Valley, Adelanto, Barstow, Hesperia, Lucerne Valley, Phelan and 29 Palms. We screened 2068 people; provided recycled eyeglasses on the spot for 1845 people; discovered 80 more serious conditions of the eye and referred them for further examination and treatment.
Our Foundation's fund-raising activity will provide additional equipment to better serve the people of the High Desert and help to provide supplies and transportation for these activities.
Member Lions Clubs include Apple Valley Lions, Lucerne Valley Lions, Silver Lakes/Hellendale Lions, Spring Valley Lake Lions, Timberline Lions and Victorville Lions.
